Why did you decide to study this master?
Studying abroad and becoming familiar with international approaches was one of my career advancement goals.
While working as a senior laboratory assistant in the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Remote Sensing department at the Center for Ecological Studies of the Noosphere, I participated in international events and witnessed many collaborations between my colleagues and experts from around the world. Previous events and GIS training courses inspired me to continue my studies abroad in an international context. The Erasmus Mundus Master in Geospatial Technology was recommended to me by a friend who had already taken it. His updated course structure was a perfect match and a strong foundation for future professional success. I enrolled in the program from 2016 to 2018 and got a scholarship.

What has contributed to your training?
Expanding and improving my skills and knowledge in a wide variety of topics related to geospatial technology, including geoinformatics, programming, data management, and applied mathematics. Another feature is the opportunity to study in different European universities with international students. This encouraged me to be more flexible to change and different problem solving approaches. Furthermore, working on my master’s thesis has helped me improve my research skills and gave me the ability to apply knowledge to real-world problems.

What aspects would you highlight?
The ability to expand and improve knowledge related to geospatial technologies, the possibility of doing research work and international educational experiments, teamwork, the development of a thesis to improve problem solving and research skills, as well as being surrounded by a practical and experienced faculty, in a friendly and welcoming environment.

Why would you recommend it?
Because of the great amount of knowledge that can be obtained. It is one of the best masters programs in geospatial technology. Also for the opportunity to study abroad at the Westfälische Wilhems-Universität Münster and the Universidade Nova de Lisboa, in addition to the UJI.

What practical applications you have found?
Expand and improve professional (initiative, time management and problem solving), linguistic and life skills, making the student more competitive. The program was key for my admission to doctoral studies and served as the basis for the development of my doctoral thesis.
